Pradosh Vrat is observed on the 13th tithi of both Shukla and Krishna Paksha, especially during the Pradosh period (1.5 hours before and after sunset). Lord Shiva performs the Tandava dance at this time — worshipping him in this period is extremely powerful.
Fasting Rules
1.Fast from sunrise or from morning
2.Worship Shiva during the Pradosh period (twilight)
3.Offer bilva leaves, milk, honey, and water
4.Light a sesame oil lamp
5.Chant Om Namah Shivaya 108 times
6.Break fast after Shiva puja
