1. Who We Are

VedIntel™ is operated by CoMo® Workshops at vedintel.com. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023. Privacy contact: support@predintel.zohodesk.in

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: name, email, and hashed password when you register. • Birth data: date, time, and location you voluntarily enter to calculate charts — stored securely, never sold. • Usage analytics: pages visited and tools used, collected anonymously to improve the service. • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device identifiers for security and performance. • Communications: messages you send via our contact form.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve VedIntel™: generating Vedic astrology calculations, authenticating your account, processing payments via Razorpay, sending transactional emails, and ensuring platform security. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

• Contract performance: to deliver the service you signed up for. • Legitimate interests: platform security and service improvement. • Legal obligation: compliance with applicable laws. • Consent: for any optional marketing communications.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account closure, except where required by law. Cached birth charts are retained in anonymised form. Access and usage logs are retained for 12 months.

6. Data Sharing

Your data may be processed by our infrastructure partners — Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Razorpay (payments). All sub-processors are contractually bound to process data only as directed by us. We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.

7. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure providers may process data in the United States or European Union. Where applicable, such transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) under GDPR.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR and DPDP you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You may also restrict or object to certain processing. To exercise any right, email support@predintel.zohodesk.in — we will respond within 30 days. EU users may also lodge complaints with their local Data Protection Authority.

9. Cookies & Storage

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (Supabase session tokens) and localStorage to remember your location and language preferences. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies without your explicit consent. Ads Free subscribers have zero advertising cookies loaded on any page.

10. Security

All data is transmitted over TLS encryption. Data at rest is protected with AES-256 encryption. API keys are hashed and never stored in plain text. We conduct regular security reviews and restrict database access to authorised personnel only.

11. DPDP Compliance (India)

We process data lawfully and transparently under India's DPDP Act 2023. We do not collect data from children under 18 without verifiable parental consent. In the event of a confirmed data breach, we will notify affected users and the appropriate authority within 72 hours.

12. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of VedIntel™ after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
