English Translation

Victory to Kartikeya! Victory to Skanda Deva!

Six-faced Lord and Master, always serving his devotees.

Resplendent on his peacock vehicle, bearing the divine vel (spear),

Commander of the divine army, beautiful destroyer of the demon hordes.

The beloved of Parvati, wise son of Shiva,

Brother of Ganesha, who upheld the truth of the Vedas.

Lord who dwells in Palani, who reigns at Thiruchendur,

Six-faced Shanmukha — adorned as the destroyer of Tarakasura.

Whoever meditates on you, all their difficulties are removed,

You are the Lord of those who seek your shelter; you carry them across worldly existence.
