The twelfth nakshatra, spanning 26°40' Simha to 10° Kanya. Ruled by the Sun (Surya) and presided over by Aryaman, god of contracts. Symbolized by a bed or the back legs of a bed. Uttara Phalguni represents patronage, social contracts, and helping others.
