The twentieth nakshatra, spanning 13°20'–26°40' Dhanu. Ruled by Venus (Shukra) and presided over by Apas, god of water. Symbolized by a fan or winnowing basket. Purva Ashadha represents purification, invigoration, and the ability to declare victory.
