Lal Kitab

Lal Kitab ("Red Book") is rooted in the ancient Vedic tradition, but it is not a direct translation or chapter of the Vedas — it is a modernised, 20th-century compilation by Pt. Roop Chand Joshi (Punjab, 1939–1952) that blends traditional Vedic astrology and palmistry (Samudrika Shastra) with Persian and Arabic astrological influences. Its hallmark is reducing complex remedial astrology into simple, low-cost totke (remedies) using everyday items like food, coins and metals — no priest or ceremony required. A signature concept unique to Lal Kitab is Rin — inherited karmic debt — read from specific planet-house placements.
